The embodiment of an infinite palette of sonorities, Theresa Villani’s cello playing possesses a voice of nuanced expression from the quietest, pellucid watercolors of sound to the explosive, bold and dense impastos of unleashed emotion. In partnership with the virtuosity of pianist Anne Marie Scotto, this imaginative cello/piano duo, playing repertoire from the 13th through the 21st century, has fashioned a collection of sound galleries exhibiting Antiquity, Impressionism, Nature, and Americana.
