Art through the Mind’s Eye (free reception)
Yager is a Florida guide dog, and Laura is her legally blind partner who has been inspired to create art using the healing power of Reikki.  A portion of the proceeds from the art sold will go as a donation to the school where Laura obtained Yager, Southeastern Guide dogs.  Help future puppies continue their 2-year journey of becoming Guide dogs and companions. The D’Amore Duo (free) – Sat, Aug. 28 at 6PM
Formed in 1991 to perform chamber music for oboe and guitar, this duo has toured all over the world and has released two critically acclaimed CDs. The Washington Post refers to the D’Amore as a “perfect partnership of sound,” and has described their performance as “one of the most uniquely satisfying concerts of the season.” Fatma Daglar on oboe and William Feasley on guitar at your NPR Library.
